In a cutting edge dystopian Chicago, public opinion is partitioned into five factions: Abnegation (the sacrificial), Amity (the serene), Candor (the legit), Erudite (the sagacious) and Dauntless (the valiant), focused around their fitness tests. Beatrice Prior (Shailene Woodley) has experienced childhood in Abnegation, the faction that is benevolent (that helps the poor and takes care of the factionless) and runs the legislature, however she has dependably been intrigued by Dauntless.
